All in all, Typora is a reliable editor that is comfortable to use and pleasing to the eye - making it an excellent choice for anyone wanting to perform Markdown editing. You can also customize and edit text from there and access the format and classic paragraph menus. Additionally, you can utilize the right-click context menu to insert images, footnotes, lines, tables, code fences, math blocks, table of contents, YAML front matters, as well as new paragraphs. A Typewriter Mode ensures the currently active line is presented from the middle of the window. Typora provides you with a word count for all documents, and the Focus Mode will help you concentrate only on the current line by blurring out the others. We opted for the Night interface during testing, but there are several different themes to choose from, depending on your preference. Typora includes an outline structure that can extract your documents within an outline panel this permits you to quickly check the document and jump to a specific section with one click. It includes many useful features that streamline the entire writing and editing process. This Markdown editor is set up to be simple for novice users but still powerful enough for more seasoned users. I haven’t reported it because I just don’t use DT for Markdown, so I haven’t taken the time to try to see if I have some setting off.Typora is a utility that enables you to convert, edit, format, and write text to HTML in an efficient manner through a modern, customizable interface that is perfect for any skill-level user. Typora is a cross-platform minimal markdown editor, providing seamless experience for both markdown readers and writers. It renders fine (and instantly) in Typora. Just the following small bit of math appears to trip it (so the rendered view is just blank): This is inline math: $a=b^2$ and this is a displayed eqn: With MathJax on, DT’s Markdown engine behaves erratically for me. It removes the preview window, mode switcher, syntax symbols of markdown source code. Alas, there doesn’t appear to be such a thing as a good rendering reST editor (would like to learn of one if a reader knows of one!). Typora is a utility that enables you to convert, edit, format, and write text to HTML in an efficient manner through a modern, customizable interface that is perfect for any skill-level user. Typora gives you a seamless experience as both a reader and a writer. I also use reST for software documentation (via Sphinx). When writing Markdown, I just don’t like the way DT supports it I much prefer Typora’s approach. Outside of DT, for Markdown I use Typora (exceptionally good WYSIWYG-like Markdown editor, including support for LaTeX-style math, outlining, flexible exporting…) and Joplin (for short, topical reference notes instead of standalone documents), and for TeX/LaTeX I use a code editor (Sublime or BBEdit). I’d prefer to avoid RTF (I prefer semantic formatting), but I only use DT for things that aren’t complicated and where I want to quickly see the formatting preserved from a source-typically copy-and-paste work from web pages. More formats (like Word, RTF, etc) are supported via pandoc, after you install pandoc, those format are supported out-of-box. I do virtually all of my computer-based writing in Markdown and TeX/LaTeX DT is the only place where I use RTF. Typora supports you to export current document into PDF, HTML, HTML (without styles) and Image format. Automatically see the Outline structure of your documents in outline panel. I only do a small part of my writing in DT that part I mostly do in RTF (and it’s not so much writing as copy-and-paste of source material).
